2022 Vangone Estate Marsanne Napa Valley

In looking to plant a white varietal in two miniscule blocks, Sam and Mark determined the heavily exposed rocky hillsides mimicked some of the terroir from Tain l’Hermitage and Tournon sur Rhone, famous for one of Mark’s favorite white wines Hermitage Blanc (Marsanne). After a week of intense reconnaissance in the Rhone Valley investigating different farming and fermentation techniques, we planted our Marsanne and this vintage is our third. Needless to say we’re excited for what this special planting can become.
